Discovering Dr. Ferraiolo
It all started after January 2020 NIST conference on “Identity Management and Access Control in Multi-Cloud” when I was shown the wonderful contributions of Dr. David Ferraiolo in the field of identity and access control.
This led me to explore the various publications by Dr. Ferraiolo in this field. Reading about the evolution of access control from RBAC to ABAC to NGAC was a major eye-opener. In particular, the session held by Dr. David Ferraiolo at the Tetrate Service Mesh Day gave me insights into the future of NGAC and its applicability beyond access control.
I have just touched the surface by reading his papers on RBAC and its evolution to NGAC.
